Lillian U. Jenkins Special Achievement Award

The Board of Directors of the Chesapeake Bay Division has established an award (adopted in 1986) in the name of Lillian U. Jenkins, in recognition of her many years of outstanding service to the CBD-IAI.

The CBD-IAI Board of Directors shall review all nominations for this award. If a nominee is determined to be qualified by the Board, this award shall be presented in the form of a plaque during the Installation Banquet at the Fall Educational Conference.

Applications for this award are printed in past issues of the Chesapeake Examiner, or, may be printed by clicking on the blue 'Jenkins Award Application' button to the right. Nominations for this award are to be made in writing and submitted to the Chairperson of the CBD-IAI Board of Directors at least thirty (30) days prior to the start of the Spring Educational Conference.

Recognition may be accumulated in the following manner:

This award is to be presented to an Active Member of the Division, as now defined in its Constitution, who in the opinion and judgement of the Board of Directors, has made a most significant and valuable contribution in the areas of:

  • Identification (or)
  • Allied Sciences (or)
  • Outstanding Service to the CBD-IAI

Most persons receiving this award are recognized for their cumulative years of tireless service for the CBD. Other recipients are honored for some unique and/or outstanding effort, such as their time, skills and organization when the CBD has hosted an International Educational Conference on behalf of the IAI Parent Body.

Randy Goodwin Distinguished Member Award

The Board of Directors of the Chesapeake Bay Division has established an award in the name of Charles R. (Randy) Goodwin, in recognition of his many years of outstanding service to the CBD-IAI.

This distinction may be conferred only upon those members in good standing, who have demonstrated superior efforts in the furtherance of the Aims and Purposes of the Chesapeake Bay Division. A Distinguished Member retains all the rights and priviledges of the class of membership he or she held prior to recognition.

Application for this Distinguished Member award shall be to the Secretary-Treasurer of this Division on the designated form. In addition to the completed application form, copies of supporting documentation (e.g. copies of articles, conference registrations, etc.) shall be provided by the applicant. It shall be the responsibility of the applicant to gather all such documentation pertaining to his/her application. Upon confirmation by the Secretary-Treasurer (or a Committee designated by the Division President) that the applicant meets the established criteria, the application shall be forwarded to the CBD-IAI Board of Directors for consideration. Upon affirmative vote of the Board of Directors, the designation of "Distinguished Member" shall be awarded. A certificate will be issued by the Secretary-Treasurer to the recipient in recognition of his/her attainment.

Any eligible member who accrues ten (10) points in the manner outlined and who has not been censured or otherwise disciplined during the period of membership is eligible to apply. Accural of points is retroactive at the rate indicated.

Minimum:   6 Points ;   Maximum:   8 Points.
a. Conference Attendance:
Value:   1 Point.     Maximum:   3 Points.

b. Committee Member/Officer:
Value:   1 Point.       Maximum:   3 Points.

c. Presentation of Paper at a Conference:
Value:   1 Point.         Maximum:   8 Points.
