Welcome to the Chesapeake Bay Division’s official website. At this site we attempt to offer assistance to our Members and other forensic practitioners, students, or anyone else involved in or just interested in forensics. As you navigate through our website, you will find information on ACE-V, processing for latent prints, articles from past issues of the Chesapeake Examiner, and information on the CBD’s history, organization, and conferences.

The idea of whether to hold one educational conference each year as opposed to two has been a topic of discussion within the CBD for many years. In order to help the Membership make an informed decision as to what might be best for the Division, the leadership of the CBD decided to host three years worth of five day conferences. As you know, we recently held our second five day conference and it is now time to get serious about collecting Membership input on the future of our conferences. To that end, the Officers of the CBD have discussed setting up a survey to gather that input and we hope to have that survey ready for you to complete in the near future. Please watch for this and plan to take a few minutes to fill it out so that we may do what is best for the Members and Division.

Work on the upcoming fall educational conference at the Clarion Resort Fontainbleau Hotel, in Ocean City, Maryland, November 5-6, is underway. If you are interested in presenting or have any suggestions as to what types of presentations you would like to see, please contact First Vice President David Morgan.

All of the Officers are here to serve you and we would like your input in order to meet all of your educational and professional needs. Please feel free to contact me or any other Officer with your questions and/or concerns. I look forward to seeing you in Ocean City!
