1984
As incoming President of the Chesapeake Bay Division IAI, I would like to thank each of you for your confidence and support. It is truly an honor to serve as your president for the upcoming year. I will do my best to make the conferences in 1985 informative as well as enjoyable for all participants.
On behalf of the Chesapeake Bay Division, I would also like to congratulate Mr. Stames, on his very successful year as president, providing us with informative speakers as well as interesting locations for the conferences.
Another congratulations that I feel is in order goes to Mary Sweeney, the Editor of our quarterly newsletter. Not all of us realize the time and preparation that goes into the making of this newsletter and I would like to thank Mary for the fantastic job she is doing.
I have decided to appoint Blance Hightower from the Metropolitan Police Department to serve on the Certification Committee for a period of three years. James Bartee from the Secret Service, Washington, D.C., will serve as chairperson for the Certification Committee.
At the last several conferences, I am pleased to say I have noticed a lot of new faces. At this time I would like to welcome all new members to the organization and urge the continued support of the long-standing members.
As I probably will not be seeing most of you over the holidays, I wish to extend to each of you the very best wishes for a happy and prosperous new year. Hope to see ALL of you in 1985.
