Business Meetings

Components of Business Meetings

The Business Meeting is where a CBD member can suggest a change in how our Division conducts its educational programs or its outreach programs. The Business Meeting is also the forum where a member can raise their concern over how the Division addresses the matters and concerns of its membership. These topics can be raised during the 'New Business' portion of the meeting.

Meeting Topics

The proceedings of a particular Business Meeting may be read in the edition of the Chesapeake Examiner which is issued following that business meeting.

The CBD-IAI holds its Election of Officers and Installation of Officers during the Spring Conference.

Persons interested in running for an elected office, or wish to propose a candidate(s) for office, are urged to contact the Nominating Committee. The Chairperson of the Board of Directors is also the Chairperson of the Nominating Committee. The Past-Presidents who are in attendance at the conference may serve as members of this committee.

Nominations from the floor for an elected office by any eligible CBD-IAI member will be accepted at the business meeting of the Spring conference.
