Poster Contest
Present your research, case studies or process demonstrations at the 2027 Chesapeake Bay Division-IAI Educational Conference.
All participants will receive free registration to the conference on Tuesday, February 2nd
(Free Registration includes: Participation in all educational content scheduled on Tuesday, Vendor Reception Brunch Event, all snack breaks and Banquet Dinner)

Poster Display Timing
Tuesday, February 2nd @ 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM
Presenter Attendance
Participants are expected to remain by their posters from 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM – 3:00 PM to present and answer questions.
Winners Presentation
Tuesday, February 2nd @ 6:30 PM at the Banquet Dinner

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
Applications must be submitted online before December 31, 2026.

Presenter Info: First & Last Name, Title, Agency, Email, Phone Number.

Poster Title: Strictly limited to 75-characters (subject to editing).

Abstract: Single paragraph description of your topic (75-word limit).

Presenter Biography: Single paragraph (100-word limit per presenter).

Additional Presenter Info: Details for Presenter 2 (if applicable).

CONTEST GUIDELINES
Contest Application
Each poster must have an application submitted.

Submit your application by selecting Enter Contest above

Your application will be confirmed and accepted via email response 2-3 weeks after submission; no posters will be accepted after December 31, 2026.
Deadline
Applications must be submitted online before December 31, 2026.
Poster Dimensions
Display boards are 36” wide by 48” high (3' x 4'). Posters must be pre-mounted OR formatted to fit display board dimensions specified.
Presenters
Maximum of two presenters permitted per application.
A/V Equipment
Audio/video or electrical equipment will not be provided.
Eligible Disciplines
Biometric Technology, Bloodstain Pattern Analysis, Crime Scene Investigation, Digital/Multimedia Evidence, Facial Identification, Footwear/Tire Track, Forensic Art, Photography/Electronic Imaging, Latent Print Development/Identification, Ten Print Identification, Shooting Incident Reconstruction, DNA Evidence, or General Forensics.
Publication
In addition to the poster contest, your topic may be submitted to the CBD-IAI editor: editorcbdiai@gmail.com, for publication in the Chesapeake Examiner Magazine.
JUDGING

Submissions will be judged by CBD-IAI designees on Tuesday, February 2nd from 12:00 – 12:30PM and 2:30 – 3:00PM.

Adherence to the rules and guidelines of the contest

Poster appearance, ease of comprehension and novelty of the topic

Presenter’s ability to explain their work and answer questions
