Qualifications for membership

ACTIVE MEMBERSHIP

Active Membership of the Division shall consist of persons whose primary job duties are that of an examiner, analyst, practitioner or supervisor in the forensic sciences. Active members shall not lose their status because of retirement or change of position, so long as they remain in good standing.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP 

(a.) All reputable persons, fully or partially engaged in any of the various phases of the science of forensic identification and investigation and who are not qualified for Active Membership, are hereby eligible to become Associate Members. They shall, in all respects, be subject to the same rules, fees, and charges and entitled to the same rights and privileges as Active Members, except that they shall not be entitled to election to the offices of President, Vice President, or Secretary-Treasurer.

(b.) All reputable persons who are attending a university, college, or community college taking courses in any of the various phases of the science of forensic identification and investigation who are not qualified for Active Membership are hereby eligible to become Associate Members. They shall, in all respects, be subject to the same rules, fees, and charges and entitled to the same rights and privileges as Active Members, except that they shall not be entitled to election to the offices of President, Vice President, or Secretary-Treasurer.

Agreement: I understand an application fee paid between January 1 and September 30 will be applied to the membership dues for that calendar year only; if paid between October 1 and December 31, the fee will be applied to the following calendar year. I understand that this is a binding agreement between the CBDIAI and the applicant. I understand an application must include payment of the application fee, which will be refunded if the application is rejected. I understand that declination of this agreement will result in the rejection or denial of the CBDIAI membership. I understand that omission or falsification of information will be a basis for rejection or denial of the CBDIAI membership. To the best of my knowledge, I certify the information contained herein is true. I hereby submit an application for membership in the Chesapeake Bay Division of the International Association for Identification in accordance with its Constitution and By-Laws and agree to be bound by them.
